JIP: Infrastructural and logistical challenges for floating wind farms

Project description

This was an industry R&D project with the objective of studying infrastructure requirements and logistical demands around both T&I and O&M operations for commercial-scale floating offshore wind farms.

Innosea joined a number of project partners in this JIP.

The analysis could be categorised into the following 3x sub-objectives:

• Undertake detailed review of port-side infrastructure requirements for large scale floating offshore wind farms
• Evaluate logistical challenges for assembly and installation of floating wind turbines
• Evaluate logistical challenges for maintenance of floating wind farms
